The classes below are recommended based on your child’s age and grade level. Please feel free to explore all class opportunities at Seven Star School. It is recommended to enroll your child in classes that align to his/her grade level so that your child will dance with his/her school friends.

BROADWAY STARS

Broadway Stars is an exciting program designed to enhance creativity, musicality, coordination, and a pure love for performing. This two hour program contains ballet, tap, drama, singing, and acting. Snack time is provided; please bring snacks to class.

COMBINATION CLASSES

Combination classes are fifty to ninety minutes long with the time divided equally amongst two or three different genres of dance. These classes provide a very good understanding of each type of dance so children can make an educated choice as they get older as to the type of dance they wish to explore.

ACROBATICS

Tumbling tricks performed with agility and ease.

BALLET

A classical dance form demanding grace and precision, employing formalized steps and gestures set in intricate flowing patterns to create expression through movement.

BREAK DANCING

A form of non-rhythmic urban dance characterized by acrobatic and gymnastic movements.

HIP HOP

Delving into a contemporary style of dance which includes age appropriate upbeat music and break dancing movements.

JAZZ

The study of dance and music of popular culture emphasizing flexibility, strength, and style.

TAP

A dance in which the rhythm or rhythmical variations are audibly tapped out with the toe or heel by a dancer wearing shoes fitted with taps.
