Each week we present a challenge and students design a solution using a combination of art, science and engineering based thinking and modeling. Using the design model, students can remix a different solution from an existing one or come up with something completely new. The class goes beyond an art class to teach creative problem solving and the design process (ask, imagine, design, create, improve). Students share their designs with one another and take home projects

Who We Are
Curious-On-Hudson offers engaging inquiry-based classes led by professionals in science, technology, engineering and the applied arts. Our offerings include STEM and STEAM-based enrichment as classes and summer camps. From out loft space on the banks of the Hudson River in Dobbs Ferry, NY, we are able to utilize our unique situation to develop engaging programming that explores the natural and built environment in a creative, hands-on exploratory way. We offer programs at our location and at off-site locations based upon the needs of the communities we serve. The key distinguishing factors of our organization is the belief that all children, regardless of background and means, possess a natural enthusiasm to explore and that by pairing highly passionate instructors with interesting and engaging curriculum, we can uncover the authentic interests of each participant in our programs.
