Arlington Farmer's Market

The Arlington Farmers Market reflects the vibrancy of the restaurants, retail shops, and businesses that its district has. The Arlington Farmers’ Market was started in 1997 by Jeff Horst and Bill Martin. When the Arlington BID came to fruition, the BID became the sponsor and continues in that role today. The market is held Thursdays, from 3:00pm to 7:00pm, May 30th through October 31st, on the Vassar Alumnae Flats Lawn on Raymond Avenue. The market has an array of vendors selling local vegetables, fruits, honey, meat, wool products, bake goods, homemade soap and jewelry. The market also participates in the Farmers’ Market Nutrition program (WIC), which helps local families who need public assistance to be able to shop for locally grown vegetables and fruit. For many of the farmers, our market is vital for them to sell their products and helps them generate much of their revenue for the year. So, when you shop at the Arlington Farmers’ Market you are helping a local farmer stay in business.
