Nearly 350 years after the final hearings and prosecutions, the Salem Witch Trials (1692-1693) remain a fascinating and terrifying period of American history. The story has been told (and retold) many times, from Arthur Miller’s masterpiece The Crucible to the campy Halloween classic Hocus Pocus, but rarely have we taken a close look at the fashion of the Salem Witch Trials.

Join us to discover what the residents of Salem, Massachusetts were wearing during this period and how their styles differed at the time from those worn by the people of Europe and other societies. With the help of Karen Antonowicz, owner of Spirits of Fashion, we’ll explore this unique period of American history through fashion!
