EarthFest - American Museum of Natural History Presents

Join our annual all-ages festival celebrating planet Earth with hands-on activities, science trivia, specimen Identification Stations, and more! EarthFest is part of the Milstein Discovery Series. EarthFest is generously supported by the Abel Shafer Public Program Fund, a fund created by the Arlene B. Coffey Trust to honor the memory of Abel Shafer. A portion of this program is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.

You’ll be able to:
- Bring an object or specimen to the Museum for identification by Museum scientists. See details about what to bring below.
- Wander through a 46-foot inflatable model of the research vessel JOIDES Resolution and discover the science of ocean drilling through interactives and videos
- Enjoy nature-inspired hair, makeup, and nail art at a marine-themed station
- Watch short films highlighting microscopic wildlife in Antarctica and biodiversity in the Hudson Valley
- Join nature-themed storytimes for young readers featuring Good Morning, Garden! and Peekaboo, Flowers! (11 am and 3 pm)
- Create take-home crafts, including DIY buttons, biodiversity bracelets, and art on plantable seed paper that can be placed in soil to grow flowers
- Test your knowledge with all-ages EarthFest science trivia and earn stickers for playing along
