Easter Egg-Stravaganza at Fishkill Farms

Celebrate Easter on the farm Saturday, March 24th, 2018 at our annual Egg-Stravaganza and Orchard Egg Hunt. Enjoy a day on the farm with the whole family visiting with the Easter bunny, hunting for eggs amongst the apple trees, planting sunflowers, and taking hayrides through the orchard. We'll be serving hot lunch and snack items, and as always, we'll have our delicious cinnamon sugar donuts made fresh. Our Treasury Cider Bar will be open and offering free tastings of Fishkill Farms’ own hard cider (21+), as well as serving glasses and full tastings in the comfort of our warm barn.
We've sold out online in the past three years! We've opened up more spaces this year, but do not wait to reserve your space online. Purchasing a ticket online guarantees your child’s spot in the selected time slot for the egg hunt.

Orchard Egg Hunt
Hunt for eggs hidden amongst the apple trees in the orchard!
Each participant in the egg hunt will receive a ticket and an egg carton to collect 12 eggs. Hand in a carton of Easter eggs to receive a goodie bag filled with candy and fun Easter prizes. Age groups 4-7 and 8-12, keep your eyes peeled for a golden egg in your session. Turn it in for an extra special prize!
This year we are dividing the egg hunting area into age groups.
Ages 0-3 will have a designated area out in the orchard for a calmer and less competitive egg hunting experience. We will have one large section of the orchard dived into two sections, one for 4-7 year-olds and one for 8-12 year-olds. Because the sections are adjacent, it is possible to have a child in each age group participating in the hunt simultaneously.
We will take all egg hunters and their families to and from the orchard on a hayride. We will provide stroller parking at the start of the haywagon ride as stroller access will be limited in the orchard. Cars are not allowed in the orchard. We’ve designed the egg hunt so that you can enjoy it at your own pace and to ensure that each egg hunter will have the opportunity to find 12 eggs. We will have approximately three wagons rides per hour.
The rain date will be Sunday, March 25th. Please wear proper footwear in case the ground is a little damp or muddy!
Easter Bunny
Visit with the Easter Bunny at the “Rabbit Den”. Be sure to bring your cameras to capture memories of your family with the Easter Bunny. Don’t forget to visit with our two rams, Fordham and Oreo, and our fluffy bunnies too!
Hayride
Take a tour through the orchard and see the pre-spring farm with pruned trees and fallow fields ready to spring to life.
Spring Seeding Workshop
Get ready for spring by planting your very own sunflower in a biodegradable pot at our spring seeding workshop inside the comfort of our barn.
Children’s Entertainment
Bindlestick Bill will be here performing children’s songs, magic, puppetry, juggling and more! His half-hour performances will take place at 10 am, 11 am, Noon, 1 pm, 2 pm & 3 pm.
Ian the Fiddler will be dancing through the orchard as the children hunt, providing festive music while kids hunt for eggs (10am-4pm).
