YMCA Camp Weona’s Girl Scout Weekend is a vibrant, adventure‑packed getaway designed to help troops learn, grow, and shine together. Throughout the weekend, Scouts dive into a full schedule of hands‑on badge activities led by experienced camp staff, giving girls the chance to explore new skills, tackle outdoor challenges, and express their creativity in a supportive, confidence‑building environment. Whether they’re working on nature exploration, team‑building, STEM projects, or classic camp crafts, each activity is thoughtfully crafted to align with badge requirements while keeping the spirit of fun and discovery at the center.
Outdoors, Scouts might embark on guided hikes, horse back rides, practice fire‑building or outdoor cooking, or learn horsemanship and rock climbing. Indoors, they can collaborate on art projects, participate in group games, or take part in workshops that encourage leadership, problem‑solving, and imagination. Every moment is designed to help girls strengthen friendships, try new things, and feel proud of what they accomplish.
Evenings bring the magic of camp to life with songs, stories, and s’mores around the campfire, giving troops time to bond and reflect on their day. Cozy cabin time rounds out the experience, offering a warm, welcoming space where Scouts can unwind and connect.
Girl Scout Weekend at Camp Weona is more than just a retreat—it’s a chance for girls to grow their skills, deepen their troop connections, and create memories they’ll carry with them long after the weekend ends.
