Independence Day Celebration at Farmers' Museum

Hear the muskets blast with our Militia Muster & hear history happen with a reading of the Declaration of Independence on the historic village green. Enjoy traditional 19th century music throughout the day. Independence Day Celebration is included with regular paid admission. $12 adults (13-64), $10.50 seniors (65+), $6 juniors (7-12), children 6 and younger and members are free.

Ongoing demonstrations include blacksmithing, printing, open hearth cooking, and there will be children’s crafts in the schoolhouse.  As always, you can tour the museum on a horse-drawn wagon, ride the Empire State Carousel, picnic on the Village Green, and visit the baby animals at the Children’s Barnyard.  Special highlight activities take place at select times. 

Meet local farmers from Middlefield Orchard, which grows apples, peaches, pears, and berries, as well as producing baked goods, jams, jellies, and honey products.
