Lighting Up Solstice! A Magical Strawtown Fundraiser

Join us for this special crafting event, and create magical candle light forms to light up the night while supporting Strawtown Studio, a 501c3 education not-for-profit!
Winter Solstice is one of the most honored celebrations around the world. It is the darkest day of the year, and a time to appreciate the beauty and the contrast between light and dark. You will be provided with an array of mirrors, candles, and reflective craft materials to construct a light sculpture of your own inspiration in our community setting. It can be a tabletop sculpture or something for the wall, your mantle, or front steps to welcome guests over the holiday.
Since most of us spend more time indoors this time of year, these handmade creations will bring the warmth of seasonal light into your home. Surprise yourself with creativity and joy!
This event is timed for a day into night time interval, on the very eve of Solstice, so we will light our candles together and experience the surprise and warm glow of our creations as the solstice night settles in.
For children and adults (recommended for ages 4 and up with parents/caregivers)

$45 / solstice candle kit (1 kit recommended for 1-2 people)
$10 / non-crafter suggested donation
