Roblox Game Design Class: Build an Escape Adventure Game

Overview
Your child will have a terrific time participating in our popular online Roblox Program. Using Roblox Studio, your child will learn how to design an awesome Roblox Game that they will be able to share and play with their friends and family! During this class, our talented Wiz Kid Coding instructor will provide your child with the encouragement and individual attention required for them to learn key game development and 3D Design skills - all while creating an exciting and engaging online environment for them to learn and safely interact with other children who share their interests in Roblox!
Roblox Project: Students will express their creativity and unleash their inner Game Designer by designing their own multi-player Roblox Game! In this class, they will design a Zombie Escape Game.

- Learn the basics of Video Game Development
- Learn how to design, build and publish Video Games
- Build Problem Solving, Creativity and Critical Thinking Skills
- Build 3D Models
- Learn teamwork and collaborations skills
This class is an introductory class, however, students should have basic computer and typing skills in order to have the best class experience. This includes skills like knowing how to use their keyboard, identifying letters on their keyboard and knowing how to use their mouse (right click and left click). Please note that this class is not a coding class, although students will be introduced to Lua scripting and use some coding to enhance their Game Design
This class will be taught in Wiz Kid Learning's Virtual Classroom! Simply sign in to your Wiz Kid Learning account 15 minutes before class, click "join class" and you will be connected to a Video Call with your Wiz Kid Instructor and class!
Your child will need the following for this program
- Students will need the following materials for this class:
- Computer with a microphone and video camera
- Headphones and mouse
- A download of Roblox Studio (it’s free) and works on Windows and Mac computers. You can download it at the following link (click “start creating” to download). This must be downloaded prior to the start of class
Please note that Chromebooks, tablets, Linux Computers are not compatible with this class.
