Join the Mid-Hudson Discovery Museum for an exciting new program called Birds of Prey: The Science of Birds in Flight. We have partnered with Ellen Kalish from the Ravensbeard Wildlife Center to bring you an engaging program in the museum pavilion. You’ll have the opportunity to meet various raptors, learn about their natural habitats, discover their unique features, understand their role in rodent control, and hear the fascinating story about how they ended up at the Center with Ellen. At the end of the program, you’ll have the chance to get an up-close look at these magnificent birds of prey.
And that’s not all! Additionally, you can unleash your creativity by crafting your very own birds to take home, or you can choose to leave them for display in the pavilion. Don’t forget to explore the captivating Pop-up Art Exhibit titled “Birds of a Feather,” which showcases the remarkable interpretations of talented artists from the region, all centered around the theme of birds.
