Enjoy a day of creativity and fun at Family ArtsBash! Kids can participate in hands-on, arts workshops like felt flower-making and clay creations, enjoy a visit from the ArtsMobile, get their faces painted, be mesmerized by a theatrical show, and more. It all takes place throughout ArtsWestchester’s landmark building in White Plains, where guests of all ages can also meet artists in their studios and see their artwork!
Art-Making Workshops
ArtsMobile: No arts event is complete without a visit from the ArtsMobile, our mobile van that brings creativity to people throughout the county. Visit the van to have one of ArtsWestchester’s teaching artists lead you through a hands-on activity.
Creative Paper Arts: Explore the art of paper as you learn to fold, cut and glue to create colorful three-dimensional pieces. Discover how this age-old tradition is still celebrated today!
Dancing Ribbons: Ribbons have been integral to various cultures, influencing fashion, art and social movements. In this workshop, you will bend, twist and transform ribbons into decorative art pieces like kites, wands and wind chimes.
Westchester Children’s Museum: Join WCM for its Creature Costumes & Camouflage workshop! Kids will learn how animals use patterns and colors to hide in nature. Afterward, they can create animal print masks to take home.
Edible Art: Create your own edible masterpiece using colorful icing, candy toppings to decorate madeleine cookies.
Face Painting: Let our talented painting artists transform your face into a work of art during this interactive experience.
Bucket Drumming: Explore rhythm, coordination and creativity through this hands-on bucket drumming workshop.
Arc Stages: Join Arc Stages for playful interactive theater games and acting exercises that help boost confidence and creativity!
