Collective + Hope

Hope Stone presents Collective + Hope, an evening that embodies its vision – Art for All. Hope Stone Dance shares the stage with four community partners from Hope Stone’s arts education program The Hope Project: the powerful “Warrior Beat” veterans drumming circle hosted by the Veterans Resource Center; a moving monologue by a Cristo Rey Jesuit High School student; the entire fourth grade class of Poe Elementary in a dance work #nice and a special dance performance by the 4-year-old children of Generation One Academy, an early education school in Houston’s Third Ward. Hope Stone Dance premieres you see it from outside, an ensemble work with a puppet, under the advisement of Houston puppeteer Kevin Taylor, and their joyous and profound work change is inevitable. It is an evening of unity and hope, demonstrating we all possess artistry no matter our backgrounds or circumstance.
