Camp at Evermore is about learning about connecting with these amazing creatures. Activities include equine education, barn upkeep, grooming, groundwork, art, storytelling, , games, riding and vaulting, time on our beautiful property to enjoy nature and practice being in the moment, and creating photos and a video to share with family and friends. Participants move through different stations, with a maximum of 4 students per station, to ensure personalized attention and safety.

Camp at Evermore is about learning about connecting with these amazing creatures. Activities include equine education, barn upkeep, grooming, groundwork, art, storytelling, , games, riding and vaulting, time on our beautiful property to enjoy nature and practice being in the moment, and creating photos and a video to share with family and friends. Participants move through different stations, with a maximum of 4 students per station, to ensure personalized attention and safety. Stations can include:

-Equine education class: Learn about how horses think, how horses communicate with other horses and with people, breeds, colors, parts of a horse, grooming tools, tack, horse care, nutrition, vet care, etc. We will also talk about horses through history, in art, in literature, in movies, play trivia games and win prizes. 

-Mindfullness- Leave the outside world at the door and practice being in the moment. Horses teach us about being present, about having clear  intentions and personal responsibilty in our interactions and communication. They mirror our energy and trust must be earned. There are few rewards as sweet as meeting a horse as a stranger and having them choose to interact with us with relaxation and play. 

-Horsemanship class: Participants take what they've learned and have the chance to practice with hands on experience with one of our awesome horses! Learn how to approach a horse, how to “talk” horse, how to groom a horse, how to lead a horse safely and through an obstacle course, working with horses at liberty and putting that education class trivia into practice naming horse parts, tack, and colors in unmounted games with the horses.

-Creative Arts: Participants create fun art projects to take home to remember their day at Evermore! Examples include drawings of the herd during observation, our horses as the artists where students choose colors and our horses show off their painting talents for a once-in-a-lifetime artistic collaboration, photography, creative writing, storytelling, and painting rocks for our kindness rock garden.

-Riding and Vaulting: Participants get to experience being on a horse with a riding and/or vaulting (gymnastics on horseback) experience! Riding styles may include english saddle, western saddle, bareback, and vaulting pad and surcingle with handles for balance. Participants learn how to use energy and connection to the horse to work as a partnership. 

-Barn upkeep and chores for horse care- A horse farm takes resposibility and work. Participants will help in some everday chores in horse care, from mucking stalls to feeding grain and hay, as well as helping with special projects such as painting and in creation of our in-progress sensory trail for our equine therapeutic programs. 

-Themes- Themes will be incorporated into each day such as Horses in History; Fairy Tales; Medieval Times; Horses in Literature and Film; Art
