Finding & Improving Natural Springs

*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 05/21/2022
Come and help us to reveal and give homage to the powerful earth force of springs emerging straight from the aquifer. With permaculture designer and educator Andrew Faust from the Center for Bioregional Living you will learn how to identify springs and how to clear and improve them for future uses like drinking and gardens. Join in to help remove debris and reconstruct an old spring house site near the top of the Covered Bridge path.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Did you know? Only 1% of all the water on Earth makes up all the streams, rivers, ponds, and lakes, all fed by springs. This fresh water is the only water we can drink on the entire planet.

Please dress for the weather with sturdy footwear (waterproof if you have them) and bring work gloves and a picnic lunch.
