Mid-Hudson Discovery Museum Open for Martin Luther King Jr. Day
Join us for a day filled with creativity and history as we come together to honor the achievements of African Americans and encourage the dreams of young minds!
Special activities include our “Dolls of Dreams” activity where children will have the opportunity to create dolls that represent themselves, attaching them to the Freedom Bell. Additionally, kids will write their dreams on colorful strips of paper and add them to the cloud, creating a vibrant rainbow underneath.
Also, we have curated a special section above the book nook shelf featuring books and images about historical African Americans. This collection aims to shine a light on the remarkable achievements and contributions of African Americans throughout history. And join us for interactive science demonstrations that will captivate curious minds!
