Painting with Pastels with Gayle Clark Fedigan

This class has two different sessions for the same class on the same days, please make sure you’re signing up for the one you want to attend. 

Morning sessions are Thursdays, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
 
Afternoon sessions are Thursdays 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
 
 
Gayle Clark Fedigan has been an accomplished pastel instructor and artist for 35 years. She taught at the Desmond Campus, MSMC, Newburgh and workshops in Ireland, Italy, and France. Gayle studied Art at SUNY New Paltz,  and the ateliers of John Gould, Daniel Greene, and Lisa Specht, former president of the .Art Students League. Her paintings have been accepted 4 times into the Pastel Society of America Show, National Arts Club, Gramacy Park, NYC gaylefedigan.com
 
This course will focus on the handling (literally) of the pastel medium while doing still life. All levels from beginning to advanced painters are welcome; especially those who would like to cross over from another medium and explore the possibilities of pastels.

Classes will be limited to 10 students.

Materials List – all available at Jerrysartarama.com: Some at your local Art Store venues

1. 96 Nupastels or as large a set as you can.
2. 72 1/2 stick set of Faber Castell soft pastels at Jerrys $26.99 now if possible.
3. Kneaded/Kneadable eraser.
4. A stiff art brush can usually be found at Dollar Tree.
5. 12 in. see-through Plastic ruler and set of clips for it.
6. A 9×12 or 12×16 or 16×20 stiff smooth board to attach your paper to! WRS does have these but you should have your own as well.
7. A few sheets of Canson Gray paper to start and -OR- a pack of Warm 9×12 Art Spectrum pastel paper.
