PICTURE GRIEF is a therapeutic and creative outlet designed to help young individuals
navigate their grief journey. Through the lens of a camera, teens will explore and
express their emotions, find solace in capturing moments of beauty, and connect with
others who understand their experiences.
In this program, participants will:
1. **Express Emotions Creatively**: PICTURE GRIEF will serve as a medium for
self-expression, allowing teens to capture and convey their feelings in a visual format.
This process can be both cathartic and empowering.
2. **Build a Supportive Community**: Participants will engage in group sessions where
they can share their work, discuss their experiences, and offer mutual support. This
sense of community helps reduce feelings of isolation and fosters connections with
peers who are going through similar journeys.
3. **Reflect and Heal**: Through guided activities and projects, teens will reflect on their
grief, memories, and the healing process. The act of creating and observing their
photographs can lead to greater self-awareness and emotional healing.
This program provides a safe and supportive environment for teens to explore their
grief, develop new skills, and find a sense of peace and understanding through the art
of photography.
