A comedy variety show for the whole family. During this riotus show kids learn the finer points of mischeif and become “good pirates”- cooperating and carousing together while getting the chance to live out their Sea-Faring dreams!

Suggested audience: Ages 4 and up. Kids are encouraged to attend in costume. Ages 2 and under free admission.
Set sail with a madcap, swashbuckling comedy variety show for the whole family. Touring to theaters, family festivals and schools nationwide, Pirate School! has captivated adventure-questing kids and entertained their parents with a winning combination of slapstick antics, adept magic, cartoon-like sound effects, eye-popping puppetry, eccentric props and active, full-audience participation. During this riotus show kids learn the finer points of mischeif and become “good pirates”- cooperating and carousing together while getting the chance to live out their Sea-Faring dreams!
Pirate School! wants kids to thrive in real school too, and offers up three memorable Arts in Education options on the vital themes of S.T.E.A.M, Character Ed/Bullying & Literacy.
Pirate School! is lead by the bumbling pirate Billy Bones who lives to teach zany lessons on how to stand, talk, laugh, eat and carouse like boisterous buccaneers. Featured in New York Magazines “BEST OF NY: KIDS!” and lauded by community organizations and educators, Pirate School! is sure to satisfy the most courageous corsair in all of us. Welcome aboard!
Created by New York-based David Engel, a family entertainer with over 25 years of experience performing across the U.S, Europe and Asia. David performs at hundreds of Arts Centers, Festivals, libraries, schools and corporate events annually.
