Wild Summer is a fully outdoor, nature-based summer program designed to immerse children in hands-on exploration, creativity, and adventure. Rooted in the philosophy of The Rewilding School, the program invites children to step away from screens and into the natural world through imaginative play, wilderness skills, and inquiry-based learning. Each week is built around engaging themes such as storytelling, forest survival, crafting, and nature exploration, where children learn by doing, creating, and collaborating with their peers.
Wild Summer serves school-aged children in Grades 1–6, with two age-based groups: Wanderers (Grades 1–2) and Adventurers (Grades 3–6). The program runs in Westchester County, New York, with locations at Marsh Sanctuary and Croton Point Park. Sessions take place weekly throughout the summer, Monday through Friday from 9:00am - 3:00pm.
