Work Readiness Summer Program

Topics covered: Job exploration, work readiness training, counseling on post-secondary education, promotion of self-advocacy, and work-based learning.
This program does not have a fee. We are offering two group sessions for students with disabilities ages 14 to 21.
Afternoon Group: Monday and Wednesday from 2 PM to 5 PM at BRIDGES, 2nd Floor in the Palisades Mall.
Morning group: Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 AM to 1 PM at BRIDGES, 2nd Floor in the Palisades Mall.
On Fridays, work-based learning field trips will be offered to both groups.
Weeks 1-3: 7/10/23 – 7/28/23
Weeks 4-6: 8/7/23 – 8/25/23
Sample schedule for afternoon group (subject to change):
2 PM - 3 PM: learning session
3 PM - 3:15 PM: snack break
3:15 PM - 4 PM: guest speaker
4 PM - 4:30 PM: discussion and review
4:30 PM - 5 PM: games and activities
Schedule for Friday (Optional): Work Based Learning Fieldtrips. Times will vary but will stay between 10 AM to 5 PM. Limited transportation will be provided to fieldtrip locations on a first come first serve signup basis, with parent/guardian pickup and drop-off at Bridges.
