Arts education classes for all ages

The Austerlitz Historical Society offers a series of hands-on workshops and classes at Old Austerlitz each year. Past workshops have included: Blacksmithing, Open Hearth Cooking, Plein Air Painting, Making Sauerkraut, Introduction to Fly Fishing, Wreath Making, and Early American Woodworking Skills.

We offer instruction in clay, printmaking, drawing, art appreciation, collage/mixed media, 3D, and more. Check out our current offerings!

Our inclusive, hands-on robotics curriculum complements school science learning through screen-free exploration. Programs are designed to support all learning abilities while enriching real-world understanding.

Grades 2-12 come to Caramoor for educational field trips, and Caramoor goes to middle schools and high schools for hands-on music instruction. These programs, geared toward public schools in the area, are interdisciplinary and interactive.

We offer hands-on workshops that combine nature exploration with art-making and science learning. We often go for a short walk outdoors to experience nature, harvest natural materials, and then we return to the studio to make art.

We offer a variety of classes, such as drawing, painting, weaving, needle felting, collage and mixed media.

Our program develops ideas and master skills in the visual and media arts. Classes are held year around in fall and spring semesters with three-week long summer intensives.

We understand what kids need to be successful: quality programming; positive connections with peers and community; and relationships with caring adults. We provide programs in a variety of disciplines for children from birth to late teens, focusing on academics, arts and athletics. We offer a quality curriculum designed to maximize the potential of our students. We support a child's vital developmental years from age five to 19, through programs in the arts, education, health and life skills, and sports and fitness.

The Creative Arts Corner provides in-person photography classes, workshops and summer programs to ages 10 to adult. Through hands-on learning, we collaboratively teach the foundations of composition, light, storytelling, directing and more.

We offer virtual educational enrichment classes via ZOOM for children in 1st-6th grades, Monday through Friday, five days a week from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM PST.
