¡Garabatitos! Spanish Exploration Class for 3-5 year olds

¡Garabatitos! is a 1 1/2 hour drop off play based introduction to Spanish class, where preschool-aged children can explore and create while learning Spanish.
This session of ¡Garabatitos! will be all about the exploration of our sentidos (senses)! Every class, children will start off with some time in a dramatic play area, a reading nook, and a sensory table activity. While this play is child directed, Lisa Marie introduces Spanish vocabulary that correlates to the the activities the children are participating in. We will also take time to gather for a meeting, where we will sing and dance and share a story.
Each week we will create using different materials, tools, techniques, and things from nature to reinforces the vocabulary that children are becoming familiar with. While at ¡Garabatitios!, children might dance to the sounds of the rain, make paint out of seasonal spices, or consider shapes as they deconstruct pieces of fruit. It is an ideal space for children to become comfortable with Spanish, and also a structured learning space for those who might be apprehensive about leaving mom or dad.
