Join the Hudson River Maritime Museum for the first Museum Mates program of 2019. During this event, children will learn about buoyancy, mass, and density in a miniature boat building challenge. Children will conduct scientific experiments to determine an object’s ability to float and what shapes are conducive for buoyancy. There will be a contest to see whose ship can hold the most mass before sinking!
This event is geared toward children ages 5 to 12 years old
