Red Hook resident, Joan McGrenaghan, her Co-Director, Meghan Craft, and their “Celtic Heels” Performance Troupe have been delighting Audiences in the Hudson Valley of New York, as well as in Western Mass, for almost 40 years. Joan is First Generation American, whose parents hailed from County Cork and County Donegal, Ireland.
Always honoring her Ancestry and the “True Flavor of the Immigrants of Ireland,” her skilled personal choreography beautifully blends the vibrant toe-tapping, hand-clapping Old Ancestral Style of Irish Dance with today’s popular more modern flair.
Joining the performance this year is David Burton. David started playing flute and tin whistle while at college in 1975 and has played on and off ever since. After retiring last year, he is playing with the Shamrogues, the performance group of the Shamrock Traditional Irish Music Society based in Fairfield, Connecticut.
This is a performance not to be missed!
