This is a great opportunity for children between the ages of 6 & 12 to be able to perform with Broadway Professionals on the magnificent Sugar Loaf Performing Arts Center Main Stage with live musicians! Siblings are strongly encouraged to participate! We would like a Choir of 50-75!
Children do not need to be professional singers or dancers, just a love of music and dancing!

Children bringing a prepared song must bring the sheet music in the proper key. An accompanist will be provided. Children may not sing to a track.

Specifically Seeking:
Children between the ages of 6 & 12 with energetic personalities to perform as members of the Children’s Choir. The Choir is an integral part of the show, the children are on stage a majority of the performance.

WE ARE WILLING TO WORK AROUND SOME SCHEDULING CONFLICTS. However, this is a professional production and rehearsal time is of the utmost importance to ensure a performance that is polished, exciting and rewarding.

NOTES:
* ALL children cast will receive a JOSPEH T-shirt, A bio in the program, 2 complimentary tickets for the show and an autographed Show Poster!
* There is a $50 participation fee for all children cast. The fee is waived for students participating in the Summer Session of the Sugar Loaf Performing Arts Academy. Casting decisions will be made immediately upon your child's audition and parents will be informed at that time if their child has been cast. If the parent accepts the offer of the child being cast, the participation fee will be due before the first rehearsal. The children will receive their T-Shirt on the first day of rehearsal. Sizes will be determined at the audition and as requested by the parent.
* We strongly urge parents to review carefully the rehearsal schedule below, casting a show is a difficult process, once cast and an offer accepted, it is very difficult for a director to replace someone who is cast and then decides not to participate. This show is very specific in its needs and the Children’s Choir is no exception.
* Children that are cast will be given all printed materials required for rehearsal and 2 pencils. Each child will be responsible for bringing these items as well as a water bottle and snacks/lunch to each rehearsal.
*If cast, each child will need a pair of tan/khaki pants or shorts, plain white sneakers (low tops or high tops) and bright colored socks (NO patterns). NO skirts, leggings or cargo pants. Tops and other costume pieces will be provided by the company. * * * ALL costume pieces will be required to be left at the theatre once Dress Rehearsals have started.
*Mandatory rehearsals (listed below) cannot be missed and children must be able to perform in all 5 performances.
