Hugs, Hike and Hang with Rescue Goats

*The event has already taken place on this date: Mon, 07/27/2020
Frederick Farm has been home to rescue goats for over 7 years. We are committed to providing a loving home and sanctuary to as many goats in need of rescue as we can. We love sharing these playful spirits with guests to promote empathy and understanding of the species, and to encourage the happiness and well-being of both the goats and the humans that meet them! Spend the morning with some affectionate and silly goats! Photo ops, treats and a leisurely walk in the woods with this lucky group of rescues who love the attention. Learn all about goats and laugh along the way! Kid and adult friendly.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

We will start with introducing you to each of the goats (as well as our rescued chickens/dogs if interested) and learning more about them, their background stories, behaviors and the unique characteristics of the species. There will be plenty of time for hugs, scratches, photo ops and to feed them some of their favorite treats!

Weather dependent, we will proceed to hike through marked trails on our 9 acre property with the herd, who enjoy navigating the trails and clearing some brush along the way! There will be plenty of opportunities to watch the goats in a natural habitat and bond with them .... not to mention plenty of selfie opportunities.

We will then spend some more quality time with all of the goats, who love lots of attention. We are loaded with goat fun facts and corny goat puns to add a little laughter into our day!

If a date or time isn't available on our calendar, please ask!
We have an open schedule and would love to accommodate you if we can!

* Please note that we will have a hand-washing station and hand sanitizer available for all guests to use before and after the experience. The experience is entirely outside and limited to 10 people maximum, allowing for ample social distancing. While it is still recommended by the CDC, we will wear masks and will provide homemade fabric masks to borrow if needed.

*Also note that there is no public restroom on-site.

*Times, dates, and prices of any activity posted to our calendars are subject to change. Please be sure to click through directly to the organization’s website to verify.
