Learn about the daily care and well-being of the animals, and try your hand at a fun, hands-on craft. We’ll also stream live footage from the zoo’s cameras to catch a glimpse of its fascinating residents. And, if you’re lucky, you might even meet some of the museum’s beloved animal ambassadors up close! (Live animal appearances depend on their mood and willingness to participate.) Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to explore the fascinating world of zoology and animal care!
NextGen STEAM is the Mid-Hudson Discovery Museum's monthly program where kids meet diverse professionals from exciting STEAM careers — scientists, engineers, artists, and more! Hear inspiring stories, learn what motivated these experts to pursue their paths, and get a glimpse into their daily work. Each session features a hands-on activity or craft that ties into the profession, offering a fun and interactive way for young minds to explore potential passions. It’s the perfect opportunity to spark curiosity and be inspired by the leaders of tomorrow!
