is a 1,037 acre sanctuary located in the southeastern corner of Columbia County. It provides habitat for many bird species, such as Mallards, Wood Ducks, Great Blue Herons, Red-winged Black Birds, Tree Swallows, and Hummingbirds. It is also habitat for White-tailed Deer, Coyotes, Bobcats and Black Bears. The Rheinstrom Hill Wildlife Sanctuary is a great place for birding, nature walks and hiking. Directions to Rheinstrom Hill. From the Taconic Parkway exit at Route 23. Proceed east approximately 4½ miles to Craryville. Turn right on County Route 7. Proceed approximately 1½ miles to Cambridge Road. Turn left. Continue on Cambridge Road to the Sanctuary entrance. Proceed up the hill to the marked parking area on the right.
