Our instructors are locally and internationally known not only for their art but for their instructional quality. The art center, which has three painting studios, a pottery studio, a children's art room, an Apple computer lab and and a specialty studio for metalsmithing, stone sculpture, woodworking and fused glass is housed in a beautifully renovated old schoolhouse, walking distance from the Goldens Bridge Train Station.
The Austerlitz Historical Society offers a series of hands-on workshops and classes at Old Austerlitz each year. Past workshops have included: Blacksmithing, Open Hearth Cooking, Plein Air Painting, Making Sauerkraut, Introduction to Fly Fishing, Wreath Making, and Early American Woodworking Skills.
Arts enrichment class (art, music, dance and theater) are offered daily during school hours as well as summer enrichment programs in ELA and math. We offer a full academic program in only 3.5 hours a day.

One River art classes are built around our unique, project-based curriculum that celebrates artists and techniques from the last 50 years. Our method teaches across all media and makes learning art fun while producing ambitious and creative artwork.
Our program develops ideas and master skills in the visual and media arts. Classes are held year around in fall and spring semesters with three-week long summer intensives.

The Creative Arts Corner provides in-person photography classes, workshops and summer programs to ages 7+. Through project-based learning, we collaboratively teach the foundations of composition, light, storytelling, directing and more.
These 40-minute art appreciation lessons are designed for children ages 7-12. During the lessons we will immerse ourselves into the story of a wonderful artwork. We'll use our imagination and our thinking skills to figure out what is happening. And, then, we'll understand a little bit more about ourselves by empathizing with the characters.
